BE CREATED HERE!
I was fortunate enough to attend the first year and can't recommend it enough. Not only were the accommodations charming, the food genuinely to die for, the classses were absolutely everything I could have ever hoped for.
As an adult learner getting to listen to testimonial and stories of success and learning points, while also completely hands on exercises, all of the skills were driven home while building life long relationships with the other attendees and the instructors.
Best $1800 I ever spent! If i had to make payments to do it again, i would. i would do without coffee if it meant I could go to this.
What incredble teachers with years of experience. The ladies that attended were just awesome, our love for learning and homesteading made for a special bond.
Honestly this was truly one of the best experiences of my life, I loved it so much! I can’t thank y'all enough for putting in the work. This whole experience was a true blessing.
This was the best camp! I learned so much that we are doing today!

Ladies Homesteading Camp will be held at the peaceful and serene setting of Ozark Camp & Retreat Center near Neosho, Missouri, in the beautiful Ozarks, close to Joplin with easy access from I-49 and I-44 and Hwy. 60.
Please reach us at ladieshomesteading@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
If you are new to homesteading skills and want a crash course this is the camp for you! If you are already skilled in many of the topics and you want to spend a week immersed in those skills alongside like-minded people, making friends and having fun, then this camp is also for you.
If you just need a vacation away from home come join us! You will go home equipped with the confidence that you can do all the things on your own.
The programs are designed and taught on an adult level. The camp is scheduled with intensive days of hands-on learning both individually and in teams. Evening talks will also be on an adult level. Keeping this in consideration, if your daughter is 16-years-old and up and mature enough to engage in the activities with you, she is welcome to join us and will be paired with parent on any group programs. Toddlers or nursing babies are not allowed since the programs aren't just watch and learn but hands-on activities with all hands on deck most of the day.
Participants will need to bring their own bedding for the dorm or their cabins.
If you are flying reach out to us for other arrangements.
Ladies that are flying may want to bring an extra bag and even an optional cooler to take home items made at the camp, prizes, goodies, etc.
After registering we will be in touch with more details about what to bring.
No alcohol or smoking allowed. (Smoking can be done outside the camp gate)
The camp is not a you-tube workshop or a come and go class. (While those are all great, this is not that) Think summer camp, retreat, not class or an afternoon workshopor something you attend on a Saturday afternoon. It's hard to explain because we like to keep a lot of it as surprises.
The camp is not a time of rest and relaxation... (although we have added in some reflection time after lunch) This is an intense time of learning by doing but the rewards are great and time flies when you're having fun!
The camp is not for everyone. We realize not everyone can get away for 5 or 6 days and not everyone can afford a summer camp/retreat/boot camp. Everyone has different lifestyles, incomes, flexible time or physical abilities. Again, there are other types of ladies retreats for a day or two elsewhere and we can refer you. This is not that, it's a unique experience for those who want to invest in it.
If you just need to learn some skills or need a free or inexpensive workshop you can probably find one in your community that you can attend.
